Traveling back in time in Bern

Time travel is always fun, so we took the Tardis which looked a lot like the SBB ICE train and headed for some Prehistoric adventuring in Bern. On arrival we discovered lots of prehistoric activity in the Bern natural history museum.

They had a special exhibition which combined dinosaurs and robotics. The kids didn't need any convincing after they heard the word "Dinosaur", an easy sell.

Beautiful day in Bern as we walked through the town to reach the museum.

It was around lunch time when we discovered someone making the most of an opportunity.

The schematics of the robotics or an early prehistoric or neanderthalian x-ray

No skeletons in our closet! However, see if you locate the photographs of the animal and matching skeleton!

We came across the guardians of the museum guides. Andi and the kids stroked them and gave them plenty of attention.

After this we travel back to the future but not quite the current day. We learnt all about Swiss legendary mountain rescue dog Barry and the St. Bernard breed! He was heroic saving some 40 individuals from the snowy mountain tops bringing them back to the Great St Bernard Hospice.

So we had our photo with him as a thank you to his bravery and he will be remembered!

With the Goddards!

Barry is photogenic and was happy to pose with us!

After walking the dog we were hungry and thirsty so we grabbed some lunch. The kids also played around by the river.

We had lunch by the river which was accompanied with a glass of Champagne cocktail! Cheers!

We meandered back through town enjoying the many stores and boutique shops. Of course an enoteca to acquire some beverages for our evening enjoyment.

The Tardis then returned us to modern day Basel allowing for some tired kids to recuperate and a spectacular sunset.

Sunset and views were awesome
