Way back in April 2019 we made a short but sweet visit across the border to Germany. We visited the quaint city of Freiburg. At the center of the city is the Munster. The views from the top of the spire are fabulous. The external decorations are very ornate and impressive. I tried to capture some.
We went inside and climbed the steeple to take a close look at the enormous bells, and views across the city.
Climbing the narrow, steep stairways, you must be careful to avoid injury. For example, severe headaches or a concussion. Or a concussion. Or a concussion. Moving on and up did invoke thoughts of a particular Led Zeppelin tune.
Dizzying photo looking up at the people inside of the steeple!
Surrounding the Munster, at the boundary of the town square, were other architecturally interesting buildings.
Refreshments were in order. Never in short supply in Germany.
Well, that was all for that short visit.
