We have had plenty of snow over the past few weeks. It has made for some treacherous walks, sledding, snow zombie building and no running.
Pepper in particular has enjoyed her time bouncing around and catching snowflakes to just rolling in it.
Pepper does not feel the cold at all. The more she can jump around into snowbanks or run her snout through the snow, the better.
We ventured out to our local hill to try some sledding but with only some mats for sleds. The kids were not happy with a matt preferring a glossy finish! We even took flasks of hot chocolate to give some relief from the cold and wet. Thanks Andi!
Note that in the final photo above there is a low wall of hay bails to prevent smashing into the fence beyond it.
There was another smaller slope across the street which was popular with a few of the smaller kids where we tried unsuccessfully to get more speed from our mats!
The following few days after the sledding delivered another batch of snow. Since sledding was no longer popular among the people under 15 we stuck with snow person building. Or that is what we thought was happening, only to discover on our return from town a Zombie invasion. And a mini Pepper lounging on our table.
While Andi and I ventured into Basel we could see the Tinguely fountains in motion still but now covered in ice looking very majestic. Even better we stopped and grabbed a hot gluhwein on the way.

Just for kicks here is the picture that I think inspired Ryan and Hayley in their snow fun!
