Buckingham palace has lots of people viewing and visiting. It is obviously a key place of London for visitors and the history of London.
We tried to get tickets for a tour of the state rooms but unless you have title alongside your name you must about a decade in advance.
Here is a link if you would like to try and plan your own visit
We waited with thousands of other tourists by the mall between St. James' park and Green Park.
It wasn't too long before they came by and entered the palace courtyard at the front.
While waiting you could view the pretty flowers in the extraordinarily well maintained gardens.
They did some faffing about for about 45 minutes or so before exiting and returning to their barracks about a half mile down birdcage walk.
From there we headed off through Green Park to Regents street and the world famous Hamley's toy store. The kids needed a bribe after waiting around for an hour or so.
The Queen did not make any appearances or head out in her car to do some shopping close by or grab a packet of cigarettes from the local corner shop.
