Hamming it up!

A visit to London with kids means a mandatory visit to Hamley's toy store. I have to say, even without kids I have visited the place on many occasions. It just has so much cool stuff!

This time the Harry Potter department in the basement was fun and contained a cunning array of stunts, lego and memorabilia. Check out their Potter page!

Hayley had to check which house she should be in

Once we knew she would be in Slytherin we moved on to bigger things, and no, he doesn't play for the Portland Trailblazers!

Up a few flights of stairs where we were nearer the outer atmosphere we found these dubious characters

After Hamleys we discovered the Lego store and a very slightly smaller than life-size version of Big Ben!

How many Lego blocks do you think it required to build it?

The answer if you would like to know is mentioned at the launch of the store opening Lego store Leicester Square London.

Apparently it only took some 2280 hours to build it. Gulp. Quite the time-sync!
