First full day after Jill and Jeff's arrival was low key and mellow.
We initially hung out in the flat so that everyone could get situated and set for the next few days.
Our flat was set in an awesome location in central London close to the area of Covent Garden and the court of Justices, and a stones throw from the river Thames.
The afternoon soon rolled around and we headed over one of the many cool footbridges over the Thames to the London Eye. We found some beautifully maintained gardens by the river embankment and stopped to smell the roses.
Note the sign to "Keep off the grass" which was willfully ignored by some of those foreign non-Queen's English speaking tourists! I had to translate before they would comply.
We collected tickets from will-call for the champagne cut-in-line fast-track experience and gathered in the VIP lounge ready to be met by the hostess with the drinks trolley.
Once up in the air, we had a quick toast and some updates from our hostess and we got to view all the sights of the London skyline.
