After a seriously tough week of work, single parenting due to Andi's travel to the USA combined with Ryan having a bumper crop of homework, Pepper requiring grooming and having potty troubles, some serious fun activity was needed.
The kids had been pestering for a visit to the water slide park Aqua Basilea for a while now, and this proved to be a great opportunity for bestowing some rewards.
The first decision was drive or take the tram. As it happened, the tram schedules were seriously disrupted due to large demonstrations going on in Basel, as they were elsewhere in Europe.
Given those circumstances, it was a rare excursion in the car. On arrival we were surprised to discover that it was not as crazy busy for a Saturday as expected. Due to the unlikely combination of a bright and an abnormally warm day for the season, more people decided to take advantage of the improved outdoor conditions instead. Great for us!
Hayley and Ryan immediately headed for the hot tub locations and then the slides.
After some play on the water slides of varying gradients and speeds, they headed to the lagoon shaped swim pool and rock water slide.
I hung out reading and texting on the phone while they were occupied.
