Since it was a regular work week Andi and I both took a PTO day for Andi's birthday. We celebrated with some choice adult time visiting local parts of the Basler Herbstmesse where the arts and crafts and food stalls were located at the Petersplatz. The day culminated with an evening of birthday wishes, a few light-up balloons combined with a home cooked dinner including a nice bottle of wine.
Saturday we made a special dinner out to continue the birthday celebration. In Basel we failed to get a table at a recommended Italian eatery so instead ate at another beautiful restaurant called Acqua that was close by.
