Mulhouse Automobile Museum

Wintry weather conditions outside meant what can we find of interest that is indoors? It didn't take long to find some recommendations on our to-do list.

An interesting one, only 30 minutes drive away was the automobile museum. Ryan said "What's the point unless I can drive a car!". This is the Bugatti Veyron! Sorry, not a chance in hell...

The museum had an incredible number of ancient automobiles that were made by many past and present manufacturers that was jaw-dropping. Steam powered to petrol and electric.

One car was pushed to over 205km/h on the Nürburgring circuit, which was an amazing feat. Only later did they state that it would not be wise to do anything like those speeds on a normal road. Not because of the flat out speed and the state of the roads but due to the lack of braking. The drum brakes would take the multi-ton car a few kilometers to bring it to a halt!

Here are some of the photos.
