Air Shipment Arrives!

This week was busy with the arrival of our air shipment. 7:30am and half an hour ahead of the scheduled arrival time the truck with our shipment is waiting to unload.

The driver did not hang about and started to unload the boxes! I got the tracking sheet with the list of boxes some 35 in all to check off!

Once I figured out the labeling scheme and numbering of boxes it was much easier to see what had arrived and check each item off. The contents of each box listed and written on the box was not always legible or the same. Numbers were key!

It didn't help that the driver started to unload and unpack some boxes which were easy for him to unload and break them down outside as you can see on the path to the left of the truck.

Next we had to place the correct boxes in the right location in the apartment, with kitchen stuff upstairs, bikes downstairs, kids stuff in their bedrooms downstairs and master bedroom correctly.

Pepper's bed and toys arrived too. She was an extremely happy girl!

Of course, now the boxes have arrived we have to unpack them and store the contents in their designated places. The kitchen was the most time consuming. Plates and dishes, pots and pans - which immediately got tested on the induction stove top.

This was a lot of work Andi did a phenomenal job quickly organizing and cleaning drawers and cupboards!

Now we have many empty boxes and lots of packing paper Ryan thinks he can build any number of things like forts or clothes folders made from cardboard that he was investigating on the internet. We will have to see what is created next!
