Since Switzerland is expensive for everything, for everyday items and grocery stores we have been recommended to raid across the border and pillage there. So that is what we did. It is all of a 20-minute drive.
Clearly a shameless plug for the Hieber food store. It did contain everything we would ever want. Although some US branded items we would normally use we didn't find. Of note, there was a really good delicatessen for meats and cheeses.
Luckily it is also the local store for Hayley's English teacher at school was very happy to say hello in passing.
