Final day in Menlo Park and packed up our immediate belongings and everyone prepared to depart. Our beloved pets, Jack the old guy and the young pup Pepper.
Once those guys started their journey to the airport, it was time for the stinky kids to finish up their breakfast! The hotel provided a good breakfast, you could even make your own waffles!
At San Francisco airport we had some minor hiccup with a misplaced car booster seat for Hayley at the car rental drop-off. Steve tried to locate it but it proved to be elusive and time ran out. The air-train back to the terminals had issues and caused a 30 minute delay.
Once at the international terminal though, time to deal with the baggage. Who said that some of us have too much baggage?
Keeping track of this was going to require a spreadsheet!
Not that we are nerdy
or anything like that.
Andi enlisted the United ground staff for some assistance.
Next through the security line with the usual unloading of 3 laptops, iPad, iPhones, disks and routers that everyone always has in their carryon bags. After this we were so hungry we stopped in the United lounge for some refreshments.
Onwards and eventually upwards, with the usual delays United always seem to impose on any flight.
You might be thinking, "That doesn't look like economy!" and you would be correct. It was not. It was business class. We really had no business being in that part of the plane, especially the young pair in the row behind us!
Off to Zurich we go!
